Being secure and hidden online

HI Guys, I have basic - intermediate understanding on networking etc, I've been searching google for hours, I've read some many different opinions and answers I've confused my self!

I would like to setup a new email address etc and browse online without showing my real IP/MAC address, I want to be completely hidden from any online services. Looks like VPN is what I need, Though without going into detail, I don't need this all of the time and there for paying a monthly subscription isn't ideal.

Its once in a blue moon really, Whats my best options?

Thanks!

Look into a CISCO VPN - Might be what your looking for. Can pick up 2nd hand ones on ebay or refurbs for not too much. Or just go through a Foreign proxy your choice.

I was recently looking into this myself and tbh Im not a big fan of tor. Im currently testing out CyberGhostVPN I have been told information is not shared unlike other VPN's

Now heres the debatable question Im thinking of the following set up.

computer > VPN probbaly a cisco one > Cyberghost vpn > Internet.

Now will this secure anonymity. I know you can proxy bounce but really I would have thought this would have been enough.

This might be faster than tor but you can't really get any safer than using tor. Even with Cyberghost. Plus Cyberghost might say they don't log but you can never be sure.

The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty; it's merely twice as big as it needs to be.

That's why I thought going through my own static vpn might make a difference. I have been told by some people that GhostVPN is one of the few out there that does not give out your information.

Ghost looks pretty new and TorrentFreak didn't mention them at all. For all we know they might not have even been pressured bad enough to crack yet.
