For those who are struggling with this task:

1. If you don't experience the race condition in your own development environment, then just increase the value of MAX constant. For example from 1337 to 13337. I'm sure you'll start to see the difference then.

2. If you already know where there problem is but don't know how to submit it - you only have to submit the one line that contains the fix. And the HTS validator is rather pedantic, so be sure to check the order of the keywords.

3. If you don't know where the problem is, then read this article.

Thanks jan-erik ;)

I didn't know how to resolve this one because Java isn't my best... But the article you've linked is very clear.

Thanks. I knew what needed to be done, but as java is not my main language I didn't know whats the exact wording of this command.
There are 11 types of people in the world - those who understand binary, those who don't and those who already heard this joke.

It's a bit silly how even preceeding spaces seem to make your solution invalid, perhaps an update to the matching regex is needed? :|

All it takes is a single word. Google "Java" + that one keyword and it's the first thing you'll see. The site practically gives you the answer. It even uses slightly similar code. When you enter it, just copy the line of code (minus the leading white space), add the word and press [enter].

This challenge is simple once you do a little googling.

If you are having trouble read this it helped me a lot: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/concurrency/sync.html
