OK I figured it in 1 try and wa a bit disappointed because I wasn't expecting it to work...
I do not know whether my question would be considered a spoiler so I colour it in black, below :
Isn't the *something* considered as NULL ? And if so, how come I got through the isset() test ?
Edit: removed something ~fas

This was a big spoiler to me too, I think a mod should remove it as I guessed it straight away from this. I looked into why the answer was accepted, but would have preferred to got there on my own (aside from a subtle nudge from other forum members).

Reply in black:
Try testing isset() with a *something else*. You might be surprised. Also check into what an empty GET or POST field actually returns.

yep. figuring that if (!$_POST['myvar']) (SPOILERS!!! Don't read unless you're done) does not evalute the same as if (!isset($_POST['myvar'])) since *e'rry buddy luv it*.

Edit: removed spoilers. ~fas

*e'rry buddy luv it*.

Hi! I'm pretty sure I know the right answer and I noticed it very quickly, but it won't accept it. Maybe cause of the relative path. Can I PM someone my answer?
Thanks!

Was banging my head against the wall, sure I had the answer... Turned out I was making some assumptions about variable names that I shouldn't have. :oops:

finished this mission in less than an hour. wasn't extremely difficult, although 01leos hint was a big spoiler. i think i understand why it worked though, im quite partial to sql and php, they are amongst my best languages

to anyone who is still struggling, its not so different from other missions involving messing with the path. just think carefully about the variables, there are two get variables, and if they are get variables that means you can modify their values as opposed to post variables, well as far as i know anyway

particularly think about this, this helped me solve it..

if ($email == $result['email'])

if i can do it, you can do it! hope this isnt too spoilerish. i want to help without giving it all away! :)
