i was thinking you had to name the cookie that you wanted to change content on though.

and where can i get add'n edit cookies for firefox?

and here is a brain puzzle say cookie content=false on a page and you want to see the page and when you change it with javascript injection to content=true you have to refresh the page or re-enter the url(right?) but when you refresh the page it automatically changes the cookie content back. is there a way to keep it from overwriting content=?

Something I finally got round to doing was making a bookmarklet for this function. Create a bookmark that links to this:

It can save a lot of time when messing with cookies.
