Read the page source. It's ALOT easier than inspecting the element for the answer to this one.

Not only do I hate you for this challenge, I now feel like beating my head up for beating my head up for that one.

Now I'm going to bed... :)

I loved this one, because it only took me about 5 minutes. I actually figured it out right away by reading each line of the script in the source code very carefully. But when I entered the password, it told me I was wrong. So I stared at if for about 4 minutes and tried some random passwords. Then I typed a javascript alert in the address bar to get it to TELL me the password. Turns out I was right the first time. I dunno, maybe I typo-ed the first time.

Looking forward to the harder ones.

BTW, have I mentioned that I LOVE this site? Why isn't this a video game??! (The Hackers game sucked. Give us some real coding to do.) Anyway, this is great practice and has given me lots of exposure to stuff I didn't get in Computer Science.

Sometimes I hate my browser (Chrome)... Had to go into Firefox so that I could see that line.

i thought i was a genius for this one, all i did was poop myself uncontrollably literally the easiest one so far for me

javascript ones are extremely easy, you literally can just poop yourself as well to finish it extremely fast,

most of the passwords are functions with the parameter (x)

I think that's a spoiler, just a reminder: you shouldn't post those. Then again, the idea is to learn Javascript and unscramble the code, not just finish the mission.

Okay, I completed the mission, but I'm still confused by this line:

*removed*

Is this just gibberish because of the == operator? Or does " "+......+" " not affect the value of what's contained in the middle? Can someone please explain what "++" does when it surrounds a string?

i have to admit, once I finished this one I liked it, thought it was pretty funny, even though I whispered "asshole" under my breath loud enough that a few people turned around to look at me  lol i hate spending too much time on a mission when it's not because of a technical misunderstanding of the script but because I was moving too quickly and not paying enough attention to detail

that being said, for those who are stuck, make sure you look through the entire source code, by that I mean you don't have to do it manually, you can do a ctrl+f to have the computer do the reading for you. as long as you understand what the function is asking for you should know what text you're searching for.
