Here's some help:

- think about "2 null bytes" and find the important section of the picture
- Keep in mind that password looks like this: *******
- think BINARY!
- You should notice one thing is missing
- now think logicaly, where could the missing thing be?
- try out few combinations
- You should end up with the password made out of alphabet letters and numbers

Hope that helps ;)

Schultzika

i found the data from the 2 null bytes hint. i understand what is it, and converted it to binary. then i splitted it into groups of 8 bits (1 ascii letter), and noticed there are 7 groups and one of them is incomplete (needs to add a one). i tried adding the one in over 10 different places and it almost always comes out as 7 letters and numbers, but none of them is the correct answer. am i supposed to just try all the possibilities until i find the right place to put that one?

You're not supposed to need brute-forcing there.
Tiksi (the one who made the mission) simply made a mistake and forgot something. Yet, he didn't forget it randomly, but in a certain place - no brute-forcing required, at least none that needs you to write an app for it.

I tried adding that one in the beginning and the ending, both resulted in non recognized characters. Cant really think of any other common place you usually forget things at.

Of the binary string, ofcourse.

That was a hint that should make you think about it, not a question.

Oh wow! This mission was awesome. Seriously, Tiksi is the best. Finally solved it after cracking my brains for a long while. One of the articles on the main page about stego really helped.

This missing stuff is pretty anoying, but I've just done it. I think it should still be fun if I said I've seen four numbers. Numbers are everywheeeere today :ugeek: .
