Programming 5 checksum

When changing a particular "ronald and nancy pair" quote from another programming 5 thread ... don't you also have to edit the checksum of the current block chunk and check sum of the entire file???

No, because they were not changed on purpose. If they were, the checksum would also be changed to hide the fact that something is wrong.
