PM me, also, try to be more clear with your posts in the future.

Ok, so i program in C++. Is it too much of a hint to ask for, what are some commands I should use in solving this puzzle?

#include <stdio.h>

Now go learn more C++.

hey guys i've been having problems with this, the algorithm i've been using works, but i continue to get the "your answer is wrong"

here's a little sample of one of them:
input:
Code: Select all
ggnier
lwdooe
ymfali
abyobd
rabebi
exlropre
edrgtob
uojrni
ebmtey
lmaeir

result:
Code: Select all
ginger,elwood,family,badboy,barbie,explorer,dogbert,junior,byteme,mailer

the answer is formatted correctly, i double checked to make sure the words were valid, but i still get the "Your answer is wrong"

any ideas?

Check these:

- got an up-to-date wordlist (perhaps they updtaed it)
- no hidden spaces after or before a word (the first and last words perhaps)
- the separator is a "," and nothing else
- the last word is NOT followed by a ","

If you have these restrictions checked, and it still doesn't work, it seems to be another problem ^^

word list is up to date, hex edited the result to make sure there weren't any extra characters (print and non), checked that it was proper format, and checked that all the words were in the word list and that the scrambled versions matched the unscrambled versions and that they unscrambled correctly, but i still get "Your answer is wrong"
scrambled:
Code: Select all
aucmire
anaroic
onompct
enusgnis
dcalnrai
plbebse
gfiuza
soesrh
mykice
mtiarn1

result:
Code: Select all
maurice,nicarao,compton,guinness,cardinal,pebbles,fugazi,horses,mickey,martin1

maybe there's a bug in the problem?

I tried my Program and it still works. It has to be a problem with your solution or perhaps your browser. Perhaps the answer isn'T submitted correctly or something like that.

Do you have a \n at the end of your string?
or do you use "Enter" to submit the solution? (try to paste your solution in the field and then click submit)

THe last thing i could imagine is to change your browser and try another one.

This is probably your problem. My code is still working correctly as well. Are you auto submitting your answer? If so, do like unterbuchse suggested and try pasting your solution in. Or try removing any end line characters from your code and then retry it.

browser was the problem, was using chrome
chrome did convienently get rid of the whole # problem though, it only got the words (with a /r/n) but switched to firefox and it worked correctly
(also was just pasting it in and like i said hex edited my solution to make sure there weren't any extra characters)
