Is HTS Radio Live? How does it work?

I just wondered if HTS radio is live streaming, and how you managed to create streaming content like that on the web.

I think it was/is more or less a pod cast, then that was just streamed. You should look into that more if you're curious. Also, I'm not 100% about that maybe it was live at times. One of the admins can probably verify this.

There is a bot that plays files from a playlist. If someone cares to dj we can give credentials(that I totally don't remember) and you can stream using the usual methods. If a dj sucks any op in the #radio channel on irc can issue the !faildj command and the DJ will be booted, also usefull for booting the bot to take over the stream.
Its hardly in use and almost no one listens, radio things on the net tend to have short life/attention spans.

lol i think thats a lot to do with the content as far as attention span goes lol.
That would be entertaining to take over for a time lol.
At least to change the playlist a bit.
Probably more people would listen to the radio if it opened in a mini-window or in the background so it wouldnt seem like such a commitment lol.
Doing a users choice playlist or something would be nifty lol.
