Dear HackThisSite users,

Because you are reading THIS, it is most likely that you are new to HTS (short for HackThisSite) and are seeking help. I'd like to welcome you. Many of you are here wanting to test your current knowledge of hacking/security or starting to learn to hack. Learning to hack takes a lot of work, patience, and determination, as it will take many YEARS to be familiar with hacking.

Basic 1, 2, and 3 are very "basic" missions which require basic knowledge of HTML and/or using logic. If HTML is not
the case and if you are STILL stuck, learning a bit about your BROWSER and HTTP in general would help you accomplish this mission and will help you understand more about how things work in the long run. For this, I have locked this thread because I feel that there are MORE THAN ENOUGH hints on the forum to help you accomplish these missions, as I have re-started the Basic missions thread multiple times. It leads to the same hints over and over, and it continues to spoil the mission for users.

I have spent the last few days familiarizing myself with how to use html and have gotten to the point where I have written a working albeit mostly basic website to where I felt comfortable enough to start taking on the basic challenges again only to find that I still can't even get past level 2. Am I stupid or is there something I'm missing. I have literally read every single line of code on the page and haven't found anything. Could it be because I'm using Chrome ? Or just that I'm missing something. Somebody help me out here, one time I got to a point where it looked like there was instructions written in the coding, I began to follow them and I'm afraid that in changing the code I screwed myself over.THIS SHIT IS FRUSTRATING !

^ This. Firstly welcome to HTS. There are forums for each mission dedicated to helping find the things you need to learn and give some helpful tips. I will move this into the correct topic.
