Basic Mission 8

And yet another victim to Basic 8. I just registered to this site only a few hours ago, and so far I love everything that I've learned in the short time that I've been here; and the helpfulness of everyone who contributes to the bettering of each others skills.

Unfortunately, I'm having a bit of trouble with this mission. I haven't made it passed the "you're on the right track" page, even though I have been changing out the SSI command in various ways. I haven't gotten to the directory that I keep reading about, and I wonder what exactly it is that I'm doing wrong. I've read over all the links that have been posted, and while they're all very helpful, I feel like I'm missing something critical. I've been referring back to basics 3 and 7, and I think I have a good idea of what to do, I just don't know what to do; if that makes any sense.

Be sure to read all the way through this page -- http://www.computerhope.com/unix/uls.htm Read until near the very bottom. Thoroughly. Also, be sure that when inserting something into the url it looks like ...basic/8/... and doesn't have anything else. The tmp file is used to store the inserted text values. It's not exactly necessary. Hopefully this isn't a spoiler!

To do it for the next persons who wants some hints, all what you must do is tald in the last 80 posts you have two links to read and when i say read you must read them until the end.

All the thing you must do is to list the files the right way, you must manipulate all the commands you'll read in the two links given in all this posts.

Hope i helped some of you guys and hope i didn't give the solution.

Awesome it took me a few hours to figure out what to do as I'm new to this stuff but this was helpful and I guess everyone that said to use http://www.computerhope.com/unix/uls.htm was helpful to be cause the answer of what code to add is actually on that page but you need to include what the ssi site tells you, to get it all to work together.

Well, after finally, over the course of hours, trying stuff, things, and more stuff and things, and then finally figuring it out, I seriously would like to hurt somebody... I even read over the correct command about five times before trying it.... Grrr.

Hi all.
First of all, thanks for this awsome site. I'm having a lot of fun.

Can you help me a little?
My SSI directives did not work.
I insert them with the firebug and they act like a simple coment.
I've tried more than 50 standard commands and nothing works, not even the directives for DATE_LOCAL ect.
What are you using to insert the directives?
What am I doing wrong?
