Hey.
I've tried what I learned in mission 7, but thats not all you need, i've seen.
I get the list of the .shtml files, but then what? As everyone said, just going to that file as in misison 3 doesn't work, gives an error. And that's not on the page 'how to: ssi'.. Please, some other hint that could be usefull?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, that's were I'm at too. And stuck. I've passed all the basic about a year ago when I had another account (can't remember the username or password anymore and so I had to start all over again from the beginning), but I did:n't remember this being so hard. :(

edit.
Ok now got it. How stupid was I. I don't know if this is a spoiler or something (if it is you can delete it), but the .shtml files might just not be what you are looking for. You are definetly on the right track. Just think about the code that you are using to get the information that you want. Are you sure that you have it right?

If you can get to the .shtml files then you are on the right track you just need to alter the same code that you are using try reviewing some of the earlier posts on this topic that people readily over look.

Yes I am trying but if I change anything to the code, I get the security error. ._.

EDIT:
I've found out. Thanks for all the help! I figured it. Just tried alot :D.

I'm not looking for help on this one as I already did it, but I've been thinking (and reading) about my earlier post here. The presence of the *.shtml files indicates to us, in general, that there is SSI being used, and that's why we should try it. Of course I only initially looked up SSI because of the moderators hint. But I've been wondering why I should think to use that.

Am I correct?

It's not just UNIX commands. You have to use a certain way of executing UNIX commands. Look at the post above yours. What you need to use was mentioned there. Once you've found it, Google it and learn about it.

Look above your post. And, think about what imput you need to have for the code to do anything, and think about mission 8. That should do it ;).
