I finished this challenge, but did not use the tables. I looked at them, but they didn't make sense to me. I understand the concepts but not the table jargon. Is this info essential in the future? If it is could someone send me a link to understanding the terms in the Ascii table?

The ascii table is simply a table which shows the characters of the ascii character set, it also shows the characters in their decimal form and usually hexadecimal forms as well. The ascii table is useful in this mission because it shows the order in which the characters of the ascii character set are arranged which you need to know to get the right characters when decrypting the password

Hello,
it's easy isn't it? Just look at the flow. But after identifying the algorithm it said ,'incorrect password'!!!!! My query is, provided encryption example form follow the same alogorithom then the given fixed encrypted password that i have to decrypt and enter it on the form?Though,I doesn't want the answer of mission 6. i want to clear my confusion.thank you all

You are given a password that needs decrypted.....in order to do this you must figure out how it was encrypted. The end goal is to enter something in the 'encrypt' box that will equal the password. So enter something to be encrypted and see if you can figure out the pattern. Then keep doing this until you are able to come up with the same password as the one given.

everythings fine. Man I don't know how i made that silly mistake? I had a very little bit concept about encryption but i made 3 hours to realize this mistake. But at last i did it.

I have what I think is the password. I put it into the encrypt form and get the encrypted password, but when I put it into the password form it gives an error

An error message is received if the password is wrong. Make sure that the answer you come up with can be entered into the 'encrypt' box and come out the same as the encrypted password.

Now I see how much easier would it be if I had an ASCII chart. After figuring out the algorithm I manually figured out the order of letters, numbers and symbols which was basically an ASCII chart. And BTW, hello to everyone.

I just passed ti though i must admit when i got Ascii table i felt like Ralphie from the movie "A Christmas Story " it didn't seem to help much at first but it will come in handy once you figure out how the encryption works the key words here are patience and tenacity, those and a functioning bit of grey matter
