I did it the old fashioned slow way - not telling you exactly what that is for fear of it being a spoiler - and it tookme only 8minutes to do. and i got it right first time. Take it slow and think it through. you dont actually need to see any script or have any fancy add-ons to complete it.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, and I can't see what the problem is!!!
It may seem to you that I am an idiot, but I'm just new to this, and I really need some help!

My password is: cc75g<?@
and at the moment I've decrypted it to: [Mod Edit: ELJONTO >>Attempted decryption removed] (Might've made it easier for some people to see encryption algorithm)
It may only be a small mistake, but at the moment I am utterly lost at what else I should do.

Thanks for the help in advance.

It seems that you may be going about this in a more difficult manner than it needs to be. The goal is to enter something in the 'encrypt' box that will come out equal the encrypted password given on basic 6. You then take that, and enter it in the 'password' box. So.....start by entering something simple in the 'encrypt' box and watch what happens to it. Notice a pattern? Once you do, try and 'decrypt' the given password and that will be your answer.

If I can add some advice here since it took me like 2 damn days to figure this one out :o ...you will not want to hear this, but this challenge is actually very simple :?

Description: An encryption system has been set up, which uses an unknown algorithm to change the text given. Requirements: Persistence, some general cryptography knowledge.

For starters, read the description carefully. You probably dont even need any cryptology knowledge and you surely do not need a decryption program or even an ascii chart. Seriously! It is really frustrating but you will feel good when you get it on your own so all I can say is READ THE FORUM POSTS!, over and over again if you have to.
Once you've done that and have tried and failed miserably, notice how when you enter (something, anything!) into the box above the "encrypt" button, it gives you something else? Well pay attention to what it is showing you and keep putting stuff in there until you get the password that you already have. This was a really great challenge. I can go outside now

Just finally completed this mission, the only tip i could give is if you are using a non-US keyboard, you may want to think about layout :)
Good luck

Or you could just use the encryption algorithm on the mission or an ascii table to work it out...

Hey I'm brand new to all this, but I got through the missions before this just fine. Now I decrypted the password, and I am almost positive that I got the right one, because when I test it by re-encrypting it, it comes out as the same encrypted password that it gives you (sorry if that was worded bad). However, it still says I have the wrong password. Any idea where I'm going wrong?

I could never suss how in the world to use the ascii table, It doesnt take long to suss the pattern for yourself without the use of tables and stuff :)

Just take a very, very close look at your decrypted password...sounds like it's just a matter of a simple char that needs changed.

omg so simple when you figure it out! i used an ascii table to make the math easier but its totally unnessecary as the math is already pretty easy
