Basic Mission 11

Just finished this one... I'm really enjoying this site so far, with the exception of this mission. The Apache stuff was good but then someone tried to get clever with it. It's a good challenge but this is supposed to be a "training ground for hackers", not a site for "hacking themed word games".

My (hopefully non-spoiler) hint to myself would be don't do any backtracking.

Everything was very simple and straightforward. The only part that I couldn't figure out for two hours was the ABC's..
Funny how it ends up being so simple.

For those who still didn't find out what the abc's hint is about, this is a hint on that hint (hope this isn't a spoiler)

You need to take abc's very litterarly...letter by letter. The answer is written in front of your eyes.

After three hours of head-explody, the above is what broke it for me. Thank you. I almost feel like it's TOO spoilery. Of course, I couldn't have figured this out otherwise...
My hints:
If you've ever downloaded music song by song illegally (in the mid 90s-2000s), you'll have seen this kind of stupid before. That's how you get past the first part. Think back to shoddy filenames and crappy storage systems, and the idiocy you can't believe people will find maneuverable.
(That hint might only work for me, I'm not sure.)
Follow what everyone is calling "the ladder", without thinking too hard on the definition of the phrase.
If you've gotten this far in the forum, you really ought to know how to find the next item, the apache hidden whatevertheheck they're calling it.
READ IT.
READ IT AGAIN.
Take it apart in your mind, and experiment.
Once your experimentation has successed, it's a cakewalk.
But not literally a cakewalk, because that would be weird.

With what you have, that clue should do you fine.

THIS is what did it for me. The ABC, etc.. really didn't clue me in. I know about that .h file and its contents.
I didn't understand the reference to the ladder part. Even with the answer, I still don't understand how
"If you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me." would help. It made it even harder.

And to be honest, once I got that clued in, I got the answer in two minutes.

I find that my personal issue is that my memory sucks. There was a post here that says Basic Mission 3
helps. I've done 1 to 10, and completely forgot what the answer was for 3. In fact, I don't think I remember
anything. I had to go back to 3 and then re do that. And then I found that it kinda helps in a way
that makes the solution understandable.
