Hi guys,

ive done this mission 1 way, i was just wondering is there another possible way to do this mission, ive been trying to read up on some of the other posts and there seems to be reference to it, but i was just wondering if someone could possibly hint me towards another way of doing it?

Kind Regards,
Rabbit.

Hey, is this mission broke? i decrypted the code, then i pasted it into the password box and it said it was the wrong password. I then pasted the same thing in the "Encrypt" slot and it spits out the same thing as the decrypted password. Am i missing something?

You should take your decrypted password, put it into the encrypt box and the result should be the same as the encrypted text you were given. I just re-did the mission it's working fine- make sure you are actually decrypting the password, not re-encrypting it by hand.

It's just a table that shows the characters and their decimal, hex etc equivalents. For example, if a user gives a program the letter 'a', and the program must give back the next letter, how will the program do it. Assuming it doesn't have any arrays to use, what it can do is convert the letter 'a' to its decimal equivalent '97' add one '98' and convert back to a character 'b'. This encryption alters the letters, so you need to find out WHAT the change is that it's doing, and then you'll realise why the ascii table is useful

Hi guys, I'm new today and just got past basic 6 using the ASCII table but I read on one of the forums that you don't need it to complete the encryption. Is this true only because of the password used as when it comes to some symbols I can't see it being solved without the table. If this is too close to the spoiler zone can someone PM me an answer please? I'm quite confused

Don't believe everything you read. Just do whatever works.

to the people who finished the mission, well, good job.

Just read more on cryptography if you don't understand what you're doing or only found out about the solution because someone spoiled it for you.

The table isn't absolutely necessary, not when the only reference is to an alphabet / numbers, where there is an obvious pattern. There is no obvious pattern with symbols, however, which is why the table is useful. With the included encryption function, you can use trial and error to work out the pattern.

Hi, I have a problem. I got the password, the password is correct. Although, I get a incorrect password message everytime I enter it. What is wrong? When I encrypt it it is the exact same password that I was given at the start.
