Problems with harrassing messages

Post by GreyIsGrey on Tue Jan 05, 2016 4:52 pm
([msg=91161]see Problems with harrassing messages[/msg])

This is my first forum post here and don't want to seem like a purely malicious asshat. But I have a issue.
A friend of mine has a psychotic person that is harassing the hell out of them. I have a email, facebook account and a name and want to make their life equally hellish. Any ideas?

Anyone else is welcome to join in.

Never once seen anyone take up anything like this on here. It's not really the place for asking folk to attack someone. Saw a lot of that sort of chat on 8chn right enough. Usually comes with a fee.

A bit of footprinting for 5 mins shows humanitarian work, self employed and nothing really out of order. Any particular reason you want ill action on this person? Surely it's best just to block someone like that if they want to behave like a muppet?

My friend blocked her profile and she created another to be cruel through. She's a con artist and a thief. Her "humanitarian" work is all scam work. She's known to take the money and run.

This.

Also, anything that's harassing enough can be called stalking and is punishable by law, so you could take that road too. Apart from that, no idea what would work. An eye for an eye usually doesn't help, but you can make the cost too high for her to continue.

Someone once told me to never lower yourself to an internet trolls level. They'll just beat you with experience. I used to do it a lot in my Lineage II private server days. The things I used to say to folk who flamed me was off the chart, but to be honest, I was just really pissed off with my life at the time and vented to everyone who said boo to me.

These days there's no point in getting butthurt over someone talking rubbish. They have all the time in the world and a boatload of google resources to get back at you. Just leave them with nothing to say and they'll die off very lonely indeed.

It usually comes down to acting smarter, not harder. It's pretty easy to spot one and most will fall for simple tricks, but that doesn't work for everyone. In that case, not replying will eventually make them leave, which could take a while.
