My reason for coming here is because I believe I should be able to learn about computer networking without being subjected to private schools and council in which my family can not afford. I do not wish to share my age incase there is some stipulation here such as (13, 18, or 21 years of age required).
I have an iMAC desktop and two Windows PC's which were donated that I have yet to look into; I would love to tamper around with a home network to see what possibilities are out there!
My first goal is to setup/connect through a VPN so I can browse securely as my family doesn't have the best reputation with Big Brother. I do not have server software or parallels for my iMAC, so I guess if someone could pinpoint me in exactly what I have to afford to complete my first goal in using a windows PC as server and connecting through VPN on my iMAC desktop.
I need a IRC client for MAC OSX, I have seen several; the one recommended on here were last updated in 2007? I use to use mIRC on windows - though I'm not necessarily looking for something familiar
