I need help with a C function..

I was wondering what function do I need to use to make, lets just say, the LEFT ARROW KEY do another function, such as printf("Hello World!");

can anyone tell me?

you should use if...
and if it's string, than that's quite more complicated (to much for c starter...)...
but for nuber here is the example:
if (i == 1)
{
printf ("Helo world\n");
}
else (i != 0)
{
printf ("Goodbye world...\n");
}

explanation:
i is variable, if is function to compare, i == 0 are parametars, and else is what to do if parametars aren't true...there is also and else if, but if-else is enught for now...

You'll need an input field somewhere as well, and you'll have to define the variable.

However, if you want the Left arrow key to perform a function, you might want to look here.

In java, there is a KeyListener object, but I don't know how to do it in C.

There's probably something similar.

thanks the link helped. i should have asked what do i have to define a variable to make it equal the left arrow key.
