A little help please?

So I made a little code in Dev-C++ that will pop up and display text, nothing big but, I want to be able to put it on a CD so that when the disc is inserted the code will instantly run on a different computer. I'm not entirely sure how to do this. So yeah, a little help please?

what do you mean by instantly?

are you trying to make a boot disc, because that involves a lot more effort

or are you trying to just have an executable, where you boot the computer, run it and it does the same thing without having to load dev, in which case you just compile it, and save the executable, and thats all you would need on a simple program

Yeah I want it to be an executable. So, all I would have to do is compile it save it as .exe and put it on the disk?

what you are trying to do depends on a lot of things, mostly platform and platform specific settings.
for this to work on windows, for example, the host machine has to have cd autoruns enabled.

but, if it is, you can set up an autorun script for the cd.

more info on those here- http://www.phdcc.com/shellrun/autorun.htm
The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.
