Hi, we do have a hierarchic structure. Here is a link to the staff of the site: https://www.hackthissite.org/pages/info/staff User's opinions and thoughts matter significantly to staff and how we run things. We take user insight importantly here, but we also have to put our feet down and lay down th...

Re: LA Hospital Gives in to Pay $17,000 in Ransomware

Re: why is this command not doing what its mean to?

Give me the output from command: alias ls && echo "\r\n" && alias head It looks more like your head command is wrong or something weird with your terminal. If you run dir and ls-output.txt is there, then everything should be good. You may need to wrap ls-output.txt in singl...

Re: Online CTF Event (Feb 20th - 21st)

Appreciate the advice. I'm going to wet my head on some conferences first to get a feel for the environment. Securi-tay in Dundee being my first venture. Gave my location away a tad there but I can hardly call myself a l337 H4x0r hacking my own wifi and home lab. When I feel like getting pumped for...

Re: What is this in html file

True, true. I recommend you switch to Linux for hacking and programming. If anything, you can keep windows and run Linux as a virtual machine or you can dual boot with Windows.

I'm glad you learned something new.. Stay nerdy.

Re: What is this in html file

Yeah, my approach to this is a bruteforce style approach, and I believe that's the only approach you can take on these kinds of attacks. I simply automated requests, when the algorithms time consumption was over a specific amount. We append that to our password and continue to try the password with ...

Good luck though. :) Tagging along anyway isn't a bad idea. Even if you don't solve shit, it's an opportunity for you to learn something. It a...

Re: What is this in html file

Sorry, I really have to be getting to bed so I don't have much time to explain. You can look over my source code for now, and I will explain more in depth when I get home from work tomorrow. #!/usr/bin/ruby require 'rest-client' require 'open-uri' combos = [*'a'..'z', *'0'..'9', ...
