Re: hide spam in active topics

I'd rather deal with spam threads than capatcha. It seems to me that the thread posts were hand inputted. I've not seen more than 3 of the same posts spammed. I think the idea was to have a threshold that determines the possibility of spam. If that threshold exceeds a specific limit, then a captcha...

Re: django or php?

The reason why I haven't gotten this stuff handled before is because I'm not the biggest fan of PHP. I've made a few myself dealing with ID numbers and addresses, but I haven't tried anything financial. But I would assume the process is fairly similar. Projects?

I have wanted to start tampering with cards for a while now. Anything ranging from work badges, gift cards, rewards cards, to credit cards. I decided to start up a little project to get my foot in the door using a rewards card. A local gas station gives these out like candy, even handling the regist...

Re: DoS security

You know of course the person on the receiving end will see the IP address attached to the VPN at the time of the incident. Some VPN's are either required to, or will release information to the FBI in illegal situations like this. This is why you might see people suggest some boxes in another countr...

Re: I FIGURED IT OUT!!!

A hash is more than just a sequence of letters and numbers that represent a password. You sound so lazy.... Hashes don't even need to represent passwords. I like to think of a hash as a way to verify the data of some random input. If you have ever downloaded a legit ISO file, you likely have seen MD...

Re: stack overflow error!!!

pretentious wrote:Like is there ever a good reason to use the stack as a counter?

Well, there are some good benefits you gain by using recursion instead of loops. They each have their pros and cons, it's a matter of knowing which one to use and when.
