Re: Building comp for senior project

Sounds good, I also use a external for my media and it works really well.

Is Ubuntu any good, I ordered a disk from them but it was missing a file and would not complete the installation when | wanted to test it.

Re: Building comp for senior project

Everything looks pretty good. I wouldn't go with AMD but thats more a matter of opinion. (Intel tends to outperform AMD at high performance levels) A tip for your OS is that make sure it is a 64 bit OS, (you'll probably already know this), but if it's 32 bit then everything will work fine although t...

Re: Corsair Padlock

I did suspect that it was a bit BS, but f it your average joe probably isn't goin to know how to open it.

That iron key looks really good, but it's only available in US and Canada?

I will keep looking in the mean time.

Re: Selling Computer

Google "parallels" and that should explain. Basically the computer is running osx and there is a virtual emulator for xp, but the nifty folks at parallels have come up with a thing called 'coherence', this allows you to effectively share the computer with files, connections, graphics, ever...

Re: Mac?

I am currently i the process of selling my macbook (I have this and my pc) which I thought would be quite a good little notebook for college and work. I guess I should have noted that I also have a 130 7200 16MB that I am only going to load the OS and programmes onto. I also have an external 500 Freecom, but obviously that isn't the best for he...
