Finally got it to work!!!!!


Thank you everyone! Turns out I didn't install the drives for the device after all, only set up the device to be installed so I'm just dumb but hey mistakes must be made.

If you have trouble remembering the number 255, just calculate the highest possible valuable for a byte. 2^7+2^6...2^0 = 255. Of course, I'm assuming you know binary. If you don't, feel free to ask and it can be fairly easily explained. I know what binary is and how it works but not how to find the...

127.0.0.1 is the computers default IP just like in windows right? Though through a lot of trial and error, I found that the wifi card is the issue. But I can not wire the computer to Ethernet I am too far from the modem to do that, so it had to be set up on wifi. Yes and no. In Linux, and Windows, ...

Sending packets to 127.0.0.0 just results in sending packets back to yourself. I'm guessing the crux of the problem lies there. 127.0.0.1 is the computers default IP just like in windows right? First time linux (BT4) user

Been searching for sometime on how to get my Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB (WUSB54GC) adapter to work with BT4 but it is all way above my head. I'm extremely new to linux (hence the title). Where would one find a good beginners guide to BT4, and were talking N00b and all that implies.

O.k. then is there any way for me to remove all the windows vista files and keep the programs running like games and etc... or would it be easier to just reinstall them? with the windows 7 32-bit? The upgrade programm leaves everything intact, just upgrades your windows from vista to 7, atleast tha...

Windows Installer will nuke everything on your harddrive. <br><br>So there is no way to save all my Files, games, pron etc... Other then backups obviously. :roll: <br>if you can get your hands on a 32bit windows 7 version, you can just upgrade it without the nuke of your files O.k...
